In a blowout game, the MVC COY managed to play his top two guards 33 and 31 minutes.

Mitch and Spoon both wondered about that as well....I can understand Egg playing more though so he gets some rust off.

When I checked with 1 minute to play, Ogreseder had only played 19 minutes.

Looking ahead

Considering St. Louis history and what the Shocks still have ahead of them, it's waaaay too early to get excited about possible finals matchups (although if anything can encourage me, it's the presence of Gregg Marshall, whose days at Winthrop make him probably one of the leading winners of conference tourney championships among D-1 basketball coaches -- let's hope succeeds in spreading that knowledge to his guys).

Still, Bradley looks to be a far tougher matchup for the UNI's than Creighton would be (even though Maniscalco did miss a free throw today), and if WSU does reach the final, there's no doubt it would be easier to go through Bradley than UNI. So this is good news.

Having said that, I still wish the Shocks were playing Indiana State today. But since they aren't, go Trees (and keep going, Braves)!

Hey, I hear ya, but right now I'm filled with glee at the Creighton loss. Knowing that Dana is heading home before the Shox even take the floor is a fine, fine way to start the weekend.

I'm honestly surprised by this because CU handled BU twice already this year.
