But UNI took care of business and squeezed out Illinois State. They didn't really wipe them out as Ill State really clinged on. Ill State had some floaters but UNI had more sinkers. The first half was a real stinker but the second half was quite the cleanse.

I HATE the fact that we didn't control our own destiny, but am thrilled that we ended up where I think we belong.

Alright folks: IT'S A NEW SEASON STARTING FRIDAY. It's time for us to make our run. The Shox need to fight and scrap and play as hard as they possibly can. If we don't win it all, it would be great if we could just go out having played the very best ball we could--the best of our season (which has been a nice one). If someone can beat us while we're doing that--they deserve to win it.

I like our chances though.

Hey Shox fans...

Well, here we are at Arch Madness time. And checkout that bracket---we're on the same side of it :shock: I know you're not looking past MSU/UE and we sure aren't looking past the Sycs but the potential does exist for our teams to meetup in the semi's on Saturday. Truthfully, I was kinda hoping to avoid that scenario (seems ISU/WSU fans always joke about the "what if we play in STL" scenario) but if it happens, it happens. I'm sure it will be a heckuva game.

Until then (if/when that time comes), best of luck to you guys. I kinda do/kinda don't hope we meetup in the 2nd round if you catch my drift :D
