1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Can't blame him for that last shot. We just shat your pants in the last minute and the first 10 minutes.
Uh why? He didn't even draw iron. I agree it's not just his fault, but what Marshall's? He's still living in last year with this play-calling. Murry is a horrible shooter and this isn't last year. Hannah or Hatch should have taken the shot.

          Just terrible.

Still though, the throwaway out-of-bounds was unforgivably bad.
That throw-in was horrible. It was a tough pass just trying to get it to Hannah. How hard is it just to draw a play that he can run through a few screens to be open in the back court, instead of having him just run from a line of people and try to get open? Not that hard....
IMO, the last place you would want to throw it would be into the backcourt (which I guess we actually ended up doing). Need to get it to somebody going towards our end.

          • It would be refreshing to hear the coach fall on the sword tonight.

            • I don't see why Toure didn't drive to the basket. I'm sure that he could have drawn a foul.

And if not, we could have enjoyed Kennedy melting down about how Toure was drawn and quartered in the lane while shooting the ball.

Moure is all jacked up this season ever since the staff has been trying to adjust his jumper from last season. The dude lacks confidence and is trying to learn a new style of jump shooting. He's going to continue to struggle until he learns his new jumper.
I think this is somewhat true, but I think it's just consistency. At times, his jumpshot has looked PERFECT. Remember all the way back in the Pitt game? Compliment after compliment from the TV color guy and I think he was right, but he's not been able to maintain it all season. I think it's a confidence issue, and I don't know, but does he still practice it--individually outside of regular practice time? It would help.

If you run him off a screen, I see no problem throwing it into the backcourt. There were 14 seconds left. Run a play and get a last second shot.

                  • All you crazies bagging on coach and the team need to check yourself. That was a great game, with a great comeback. It was well coached and our guys played hard. There were frustrating moments, but that's college basketball.

                    Awesome, hard fought game Shox!

                    • Well...they DID pick us for 5th in the Valley this year, so I guess if we can hold onto 2nd it hasn't been a bad year...right? I think we've all overstepped our expectations in hope of something great, which is obviously NOT going to happen this year, unless Evansville gets snowed-in at home for the Valley tournament, and a couple NI players get suspended for cow-tipping.

I hope Kung Wu understands this. This was a bad way to lose and not acceptable.

                          • Coach has to get them to come to play. He seems baffled by his inability to get his guys to play hard.

Agreed 100%. Some people on here make it sound like we just folded. I am sure it was coaches call at halftime to start getting in inside more and challenged the team to man up, and they sure did. Seriously, some people need to see some good in things.

If they come out with some heart and passion Sunday and in STL we will go very deep and everyone will be pleased.

                              :goshocks:

                              • Once again - I am pretty sure the team with ball should be told to be 100% sure they can get the ball to your team or you call a time-out.... I have no idea why that play would be forced. I would imagine this is basketball 101 since I see so many teams call a time-out if the pass isn't easy.
