  • I think I would have rather just been comfortably behind between 8 and 14 and ultimately lose by 10. At least you just chalk that up to injuries and fatigue of a long season.

A loss like this further effs with the already bruised psychology of the team, I think.

I don't know. We played well in the 2nd half, except for the last 14 seconds.

        • I agree Hatch should've been the man, but Toure had hit some big ones in the game.

Soooooo close. I still think in the second half there were lots of things that were positive. Pretty decent D late, and all of that missing one of the biggest bench guys and another important bench person.

I think as bad as that first half was (and the end of the game) Garrett's still showing improvement along with Demetric. Hatch has found his range again and it appears Clevin has too. Let's hope that little trend continues.

We really needed this one though. Just a shame we couldn't get it done.

Can't blame him for that last shot. We just shat your pants in the last minute and the first 10 minutes.
Uh why? He didn't even draw iron. I agree it's not just his fault, but what Marshall's? He's still living in last year with this play-calling. Murry is a horrible shooter and this isn't last year. Hannah or Hatch should have taken the shot.

            Just terrible.

Still though, the throwaway out-of-bounds was unforgivably bad.
That throw-in was horrible. It was a tough pass just trying to get it to Hannah. How hard is it just to draw a play that he can run through a few screens to be open in the back court, instead of having him just run from a line of people and try to get open? Not that hard....

            • 14 seconds to go and the ball you CANNOT LOSE. This is like NY Giants fumble in the last 20 seconds on the other teams 3 yardline that led to touchdown on the other endzone. Ridiculous! Disappointment. It is our lot!

Was there any other movement in the offense or was it , Toure dribble the ball up and shoot? If that is what it was then its not Toure's fault, its Marshall's. If there was other movements and screens being set then I can understand you being mad at Toure, but if the Play was "Toure go make a play" then its not his fault.

                • If we can play with the energy we did in the 2nd half for the rest of the season, I will be very pleased.

I also think that we will win quite a few more games if that is the case. Clevin looked quick again. Toure had some confidence. And JT was Mr. Hyde in the 2nd half. The Dr. Jekyll JT can please stay locked away.

                  • 6-6 in our last 12. At this rate, the NIT will wave goodbye and back to the CBI it is. This stinks to high heaven.

Oh well, not at all expected, the writing was already on the wall. Let's hope the boyz can get back on track at home heading into the MVC Tourney. I realize it is as likely as ABC giving me a compliment but I can hope.

                    • Marshall did a very nice job switching defenses in the second half. I didn't want Murray to take the last shot either.

                      • Don't you figure Toure' was bringing it with hopes of drawing the defense and kicking to Clevin or Graham? I don't really think it was designed for him to dribble up and take a 3.

I agree. Some nice D in the second half. Some terrible D in the first half. I hope the guys can see it clearly on film and come out on Saturday ready to GO TO WAR.

Moure is all jacked up this season ever since the staff has been trying to adjust his jumper from last season. The dude lacks confidence and is trying to learn a new style of jump shooting. He's going to continue to struggle until he learns his new jumper.
