You guys are pathetic....that's all there is too it. Some of you just need something to complain about. Those complaining must know that they are being ridiculous and just didn't want coach to tell you over the radio. Has to be something. Why else would you be SO mad but not ask him to explain himself?

If you listened to the show, you get a distinct impression that somebody has talked to Coach Marshall (at least I do). There were some comments about the "great WSU fans" and he made it clear that he understands that the fans "care" and that some "care" alot.

This all might be new to him because I don't know whether at Winthrop they ate and slept basketball like this town does.

But none of that was really anything he'd never said before.

There was a certain tone about it (not sure how to explain it). It was like okay guys I get it now, it has been explain to me about the mental makeup up of WSU fans and how they care to the point where they:

1. will cry if they think I'm leaving

2. will magnify his words 1000x so they can get clearing reading between the lines

3. will live and die on every game

4. love to monday morning QB (not that there is anything wrong with that)

5. will listen to every word and how he says it and his tone that is used to get additional messsages

6+. add whatever other eccentricities WSU fans have

I think the best thing they could do for the call in show is stop taking calls. Have everyone submit questions via e-mail to Mike and let him screen them and paraphrase them to coach as he sees fit.

I agree, and not only to get rid of the same drunken callers that seem to appear every week and ask "Coach can you tell about some of the recruits you are after and can you comment on the kid at Heights....I think his name might be Tyler Perry. Thanks and I'll hang up and listen off the phone."

As if there is another option once you hang up.

It's time to move into the 21st century. It is an electronic age and phone is dead. My guess is Mike could get 1-2hundred emails from which to pick and choose what he would consider to be relevant topics.

It's not as if we are getting Woodward and Berstein on the phones now.

HCGM in fact stated that one of the big reasons he came here was because of the support at Wichita. He stated he did not have the same level of support at Winthrop even after the success they enjoyed.

I don't think so. I know who that was (not personally) and I don't think he posts here...but I certainly could be mistaken.

That man has been punished, severely, and I know he regrets his mistake. I doubt it will happen again.
