  • 2012 Return Game

    Those bemoaning the fact that we don't play the return game until 2012 should perhaps consider that USU will be minus all four juniors. But even better, Stutz will be a senior and EO will have one year of experience behind him. :yahoo:

        Don't forget that Toure' Murry and David Kyles will be seniors as well. Our depth in the post that year will probably depend on getting a Juco post, but otherwise there is reason to think we could be pretty stacked, even with the loss of the 4 guys who will be seniors next year.

          Well I hope Utah State will be good that year otherwise it's not even worth it. I wanna beat a good team at home. I don't wanna win because a team is having a down year or rebuilding year.

            If you look at their record over the last decade or so, they really haven't had much in the way of down years. They have been really consistent about getting 20+ wins and having a high rpi.

            You never know, they might be down, but they have a good program and having shown any tendency to have players depart affect whether or not they are good.

              Let's hope the students get more organized by then and maybe our student section will shine more. I believe Suellentrop reported that USU has a 4,000 member student section. Don't we just put back 1,000 seats for students (which are never filled by them)? Utah State must have some pretty deep-pocket boosters if they don't need the revenue from those extra 3,000 seats that goes to the students. Their arena is about the same size as CKA (about 300 less I believe). But you get 4,000 students in there versus our 1,000 (even if we could get them filled), and no wonder they make lots of noise.

              Don't come down on me here. I'm not saying our students don't do a decent job -- I'm just saying they don't ever number 1,000 let alone 4,000. But to have our coach call our atmosphere Triple A kinda stings.

                I'm aware of their recent history. They've had some less than stellar RPI's in some of those years. All I'm saying is it seems that a few are happy they are losing a lot of core players for the return game. I just don't think I'd be celebrating about that. Yes, we wanna win, but for that reason? Lame.

                  They'll be good without a doubt, but still,

                  As long as there aren't any major changes in our program..........

                  Shocks = winning team
                  Aggies = losing team

                    Fair enough, and actually I agree with you wholeheartedly. I want Utah State to be good when they come back here. I think they will be, but I think we should have a good chance to win regardless. Both teams have 4 juniors, so I don't think the return games being in two years plays in the favor of either team particularly.
