I agree that this team lacks a leader. It's just not there. The guys just don't seem to have a gluey chemistry when on the court. Not a lot of high fives or back pats.

Just a lot of very disappointing factors all coming together.
USU had to fly to USU and back. Still no excuses - they just flat out whipped us.
I assume you meant WSU flew to USU and back. Yeah, WSU flew, but that would mean every road game is an excuse. Nope.
Illogical conclusion. The premise was comparing time each team had to prep, and unless WSU can prep adequately while inside a plane, USU had more time than WSU. No conclusion, no excuse, just F-A-C-T

Sorry, just assumed everyone could figure out that was tongue in cheek, because we ALL knew WSU flew to USU - thus less time to prepare. USU is a much, much greater road trip than normal. Also, as I said earlier, still no excuses, they just flat out whipped us.

I like this post a lot.

I love the expression, "gluey chemistry." It is so right on.

Know one else has jumped on this statement by HCGM.

I didn't listen to his post-game talk, but I assume you got it right.

Does this not bother any of you, on a lot of levels?

bothersome that they didnt see it? yeah I guess so.

Bothersome that they couldnt get the players attention in all the noise?

No not really. The players have to be aware that they need to look back at coach once in awhile in situations like those. (noise)

Name one environment we have played in this year that we would have "in game" practice at that?

We dont have to worry about that at home because its our home. Typically we are in control and have our sets that we are going to run. LEt the other team handle it.

How about a player substitution to briefly stop the action to get info into them from the sideline or by the player. Or how about a timeout.

Kind of hard to do that if it isn't a deadball or you don't have possession. Now you are just looking for ANYTHING.

Maybe I didn't contect the dots and didn't put together what WSUShokker / HCGM was referring to. Are we talking about a play that was used just a couple of times in a row? If so, I stand corrected.

Or are we talking about a game plan that UNU used on us for an extended period of time, say over at least a 4-5 minute span. If so, I don't understand the lack of time to counter UNU's ploy.

No it doesent....I think its great the coaching staff is getting the right info to the players...and in a hostile envioroment played pretty good defense....The coaches comment and...this is probably worth noting is that he said it and I was under the direct impression that he was refering to the 2 or 3 princeton style plays with the pass from the 3pt line into the top of the key and the quick pass to the back door cutter if you will....and maybe a few other times.....but for the most part we played pretty good def as far as being in the right position to make plays....we got beat all night while we were in peoples faces...we were in position. ALOT of the credit for USU's offense needs to go to USU...

I think the Coach is getting it the right information to the players during practice and game prep.....

Players need to execute beter...We can fix that.... I think we can soon too.

You dont fix a coach who dosent have them in the right position or one that shows he doesent have their backs.....Well not quickly anyway...

Sorry hope that explains kind of the context he said it under
