  • Why???

Can anyone tell me why Stutz doesn't play until he fouls out tonight?

Can anyone tell me why Kyles isn't starting in front of Murray right now?

Can anyone tell me why Ellis, Murray and Durley are starting right now?

Don't get me wrong, I love all of these players but they are not playing better than the reserves right now.

I would say that we don't deserve and haven't earned a trip to the dance with our efforts. I would love to see a shakeup in the line up but for some reason the coaching staff sees things differently.

All of your questions are valid.

I think you should present those questions on Monday in the appropriated forum.

Well outside of tonight Kyles has done pretty much next to nothing.

I've got nothing for you on anything else though

Can anyone tell me why we can't spell Murry's name?

Durley started off really good and fired up tonight, you have to give him that. I don't know where he was the rest of the game, though...

He went to the same place he's been the past 6 games.

Dude relax, this game was meaningless. Did you honestly expect the shox to become just the 8th team since 2002 to win at Utah State?

Bradley and SIU, thats what matters right now. Finish in second alone and go into the MVC tourney with an up swing.

Utah State is good, I'm just glad the shox found a way to hang when it looked like it was going to get out of hand.

I don't buy into Ellis' tough D. He was getting abused tonight, which wasn't the first time this season. The effort is there but as the announcer pointed out the obvious he's just too slight.

Totally agree on shaking up the lineup.

I comletely concur with the Stutz arguement. He anplayed well from the get go and should have had more minutes. He could have cut that lead single handedly....Kyles was obviously way hot and should have had more minutes in the end. I'm sick and tired of Ellis to be quite honest. I could care less if he wins jump balls or defends an occasional pass with his long arms. He's not a very good basketball player. I realize he hit a couple of miracle shots tonight, but that's not enough in my beer bellied opinion!

I really like Ellis in the game when we're pressing aggressively/trying to trap. Otherwise, I'm not sure how much better he is than the other posts.

I too assumed a loss tonight but I would rather lose with my best five on the floor.

Do we go to Bradley now and start Murry, Ellis and Durley and let Stutz linger on the bench?

Is that a recipe for success?

I'm not a basketball coach but I don't understand why underperformers continue to play more and more crucial times than others? That's all and I'm going to bed.

Exactly...I dont know of any other player that has been taken to the wood shed as oftern as Kyles. We love his highlight dunks...and a couple of 3 pt buckets in games..but most of the time he does not do much and at times has shown a complete lack of interest.
I sure hope its the start of something good for him....If you could get him to focus like he did tonight and have a little confidence in himself the valley would be at his feet

I cant figure out JT....maybe its all the minutes...who knows....Stutz needs more PT....I think the only thing preventing that is his physical fitness..and keeping a close eye on that knee

Murry might need more time to develop...he looks clumsy and undetermined...quick but not fast enough, or strong enough or sure handed enough to be a slasher..

Ellis is starting so we can win the tip. Well that's my guess anyway cause I'm baffled otherwise.

I also agree with the trapping scenario. Ellis is excellent at that. But that's about where it stops most games.

Sometimes I wonder if Marshall just comes into a game with a set, predetermined plan and makes ZERO adjustments. It's like he has a certain quota on minutes for specific players, no matter how hot or cold they are, no matter how good or bad each is playing.

I'm not a coach, never have been, but that doesn't sound like good coaching.

It's high time to start playing Stutz more in our lineup. Durley is a bit passive although I do like his game. Ellis is definitely an athlete but quit starting him for crying out loud. I'm just not pleased with the minutes being passed around.
