    Shocker Report

    Did anyone catch the Shocker Report yesterday on KS22? It's on again at 6:30pm.

    About halfway into the show, Mike talked about coming off the disappointing loss at Evansville. Coach Marshall said, "You said you weren't going to talk about that." Mike kind of laughed. Coach Marshall said, "You and Bob Lutz need to go and have a couple of beers and discuss it tonight."

    I couldn't tell if Coach Marshall was serious or not. He sounded like he was.

      Because you know, if you don't TALK about one of the most embarrassing losses under HCGM, it simply didn't happen! And if GM isn't careful, he's not going to have anything to talk about on next week's show, either. (Sorry, I'm a little bitter about this game at the moment...1:20 left in OT that should have NEVER happened...)

        Aptly named, podunk. Idiots on a message board listen to a coach they can't see speaking with tongue in cheek, speculate ignorantly that he has a Dana Altman-like thin skin, and you fall for it because you're mad at how the team is playing.

        Time to leave this thread before the stupidity becomes contagious and I come down with it myself.

          Following Marshall's interview. Was WSU booed at the arena?
          Wichita State, home of the All-Americans.

            Oh, I'm sorry, you thought I was being serious? I saw TSR, I was just venting because they were apparently trying to let Evansville sweep us off Devlin Court.

              A few - very few (dare I say "fans") did at one point. Not unclassy. I think it is just fine to boo professional athletes for a poor performance because they are getting very large bucks to stink up the court, but not college kids. These guys are not intentionally playing sloppy or poorly, it just happens.

                It's kind of like booing the guy who puts your sandwich together at Subway and leaves the olives off, or when you get shortchanged on the foam on your mochaspresso at Starbucks. They're not sloppy, they're just kids.
