Lots of funnies come down with the fall of the Purple Shrek
Then there is the obsession:
Then there are the prophetic vision of the UNI fans:
Then sportstalkmatt shows up. Evidently he shows up on any board where his name is thrown out. Wonder why he never shows up on Shockernet?
Some of sporttalkmatt wisdom:
ppride: I do think that the arresting officer could have used a little more discretion, knowing who Jordan was I'm sure, and had him call somebody that could have came and got him and drove his car for him or parked it somewhere for the night.
wloopanther: Is this Jordan?
ppride: No this is not Jordan, I talk to him often though and he doesn't really care about what everyone thinks, but I'm on here backing him up.
wloopanther: You said the cop should let him off because he is a UNI basketball player....
ppride: No wloopanter that is not what I said. What I did say is that you're a dumbf*ck and I'm not gonna bother with whatever else you have to say because you're a piece of sh*t in the first place for criticizing your fellow alum!
Victory for UNI: post a "E-thug: Cause talking **** in person is dangerous" motivational poster
ppride: I have no problem talking "sh*t" about this in person, I'm on here because everybody else is talking **** because they're tools who only come on these chat rooms and talk about it on here. So don't critcize me.
Victory for UNI: Meet me at the ODU game. I'll be wearing a white shirt.

jman2004: I think the A-10 is over hyped . . .
jnutt: its scary how overrated it is. Maybe the schools will be put on probation so that the Shockers can make it to the dance

DrewDog: I think the Panthers go one of two directions:
1) Pull together, regroup, recommit and move forward successfully with a laser focus or
2) Implode.

as soon as someone tells me there is a thread specifically directed at me - I like to engage the conversation. I'm a fan...I just get paid to talk about what I like and don't like. Message boards are a fun way to keep the discussion going.
sportstalkmatt: I'll link the blog post that I've got coming out in a few about Jordan. Sucks for everyone involved but 3 games, given what he did, seems a little light. I'll explain more for sure but I just hope everything works out for UNI.
UNI Prof: I'm sure it will be enlightening to read your quantification of something that is essentially unquantifiable. It might be helpful if you would at least include your function that effectively maps legal issues to # of games suspended along with your quantitative justification. Also, if you are using an approximator function to determine that it "seems a little light", I'd be interested in learning more about its derivation as well.
