I haven't seen a game that Coach Knight has done but I've heard nothing but complaints from those I know who've seen him. Most say he's great in the studio but sucks as a color guy.

From the little I've heard myself, he's not easy on the ears but he does offer pretty good insight and is willing to point out more mistakes that a typical smoke-blowing color analyst.

Coach Knight has never followed the crowd or sugar coated anything. I enjoy his perspective on the game. He gives the viewer much better insight into the game as seen through a coach's and player's eyes than anyone I have heard. I think it is a refreshing change from the likes of Dickey V and all of his sensationalism screaming. Just my thoughts...

Agree! He doesn't suck up to anyone and tells it like it is. Refreshing indeed. When he called out John Calipari for cheating, he immediately became my favorite announcer.

Everyone I talk to doesn't like Knight because "he's boring" and "only tells what he would've done in that situation." I, on the other hand, absolutely love him, maybe my favorite color guy that ESPN has, I feel like he's by far the smartest one they have.
