Wichita State is in second place in the league and barely has an at-large pulse. A BracketBusters win at Utah State on Saturday would help, but the Shockers' weak non-conference schedule -- it ranks 299th -- is a big hindrance. Still, Wichita split with UNI and is 6-3 against RPI top-100 teams. If the Shockers can at least get to the MVC final, they'll have a shot.

If ALL of our games left were at home were at 21st and Hillside, than we would have a much better chance to win out. I also think we are fully capable of doing it anyhow. However, the pattern thus far is we find a way to win at home, but we are still not road warriors even though this has improved from last Season. Thus, our Dancing chances are "slim to none" this Season short of winning it all at the Lou and "slim" (Shocks) has not been grouping wins together when 'leaving town' in clusters of 3 wins in a row. However, stranger things have happened.
On one hand, it is easy to be frustrated with the Shocks losing at Evansville. On the other hand, we will have way more than the 21 wins I picked preseason. The experts picked us to end at 5th and I think we have a solid chance at 2nd. It would be great for the Shocks to really take the loss at heart to the Aces and focus to improve from here onward and get on a roll and peak when the time is right which can start tomorrow night. Ending this Season on a positive strong note would be a grand ending for Clevin's Senior Season. Maybe next Season will indeed be our best since 2006. However, there is plenty of basketball left to play this Season!!!!!!!Shocker basketball will forever be my favorite team in all of sports.Comment

Not to be a contrarian but I like it when they call us Wichita, it gets us back to our roots before KU and to a much lesser degree Kansas State meddled into the long term growth prospects of my alma mater. Believe it or not there was a good chance that our degrees would have been from a school called KUKSU Wichita, we'd be the IUPUI of the Great Plains. Can you imagine being called koo-ka-suu? It would take something like every bubble team in D1 losing out from here until Selection Sunday.
That's probably not possible, since somewhere, some time, there's a game or two scheduled where one of them plays another one.
An at large was already shaky before the loss to E'ville.
We've got a lot more to worry about than an at large. BU and USU are both definitely in the "losable" category. Lose those 2 and don't make the finals in St. Louis and we might be looking at a tournament that does not begin with the letter "N".The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
