When he was at KU, I seem to recall Roy comparing a loss to the death of a family member.
I'm not aware of Roy ever doing this. I do know that Bill Snyder compared the pain of losing a football game to the pain he felt when his daughter died, though. Perhaps this is what you are thinking of?
Wow! BS needs to get a grip on reality. That's simply not healthy. The loss of his daughter will last the rest of his life, while the loss of a game will probably sting until the next one. Unbelievable.
