No he didn't win.

I heard from some people that went to alot of the homecoming festivities and said it was alot of fun. Hope it continues!

Yes they do. I have watched friends in it, and it is pretty impressive. My one complaint is it is like 8 hours long on the day where everyone goes (saturday).

I attended the homecoming festivities saturday night just out of curiousity not cause I thought it would be very cool. To be honest I had a blast. The smaller turnout (prob a few hundred) would have been a lot bigger if more people knew about it and what all it contained. For example, when I got there I found out it was free food and free beer, so I of course had to text some people and let them know what they were missing out on. Anyone could attend as well. Thank you Alumni Association!

MC Hammer basically just hosted a dance competition but it was still fun to watch. Mike Kennedy and Greg Marshall spoke. Gene was also there. The whole basketball team came on stage. We started chanting Clevin's name so he had to give a lil speech. The best part was at the end when there was a big bear on state. Everyone chanted burn the bear and we carried it from the stage and threw it into the bon fire.

To be honest I had hesitations about going but I am glad I did finally go. It was fun and the turnout out was slim but what do you expect for the first one. Hopefully next years will be bigger and better. I finally found sometime to upload my pictures to flickr and attached is the link. Enjoy.

Its good that the alumni association wants to get involved and put on some events like this....but Shocktoberfest was/is WSU's alternative to a "Homecoming"

The events change a little each year but they have included: A banner contest, float or booth contest, video contest. They are generally themed and judged with prizes awarded. It is put on by Student Activities Council. They also do Hippodrome.

It seems strange to me that the Alumni Association would start a event that is so redundant. I would like to know if anyone from SAC was involved with this event.

I am all for another party and I am sure the Greek houses and other organizations enjoyed it and so did some shockerneters but it seems kind of strange.

I thought it seemed strange but every school needs a homecoming so I'm down with it.
