Condolences to the Schaus family, I have a lot of respect for what Jim did here and respect the choice he made to move closer to his family. I'm in a situation where I've happen to be on the Ohio University campus a half dozen times in the last year and a half and when there I've attended a couple of athletic events on weekends. I always hoped maybe I'd see him and could say hi in my Shocker gear, but he was never in attendence. Although I know he'll do the best job he can at Ohio, that made it pretty obvious to me why he made the choice he did.

        Schaus

I sent Jim an email when his school won their bowl game this year to congratulate him & the school. He answered it very quickly with a "thanks" even just after the game was over, so he obviously had an IPhone or something similar with him.

So Turg cannot be brought up on this board but Schaus can?

Just kidding--his son was a savior for this University--not just the basketball program. Good find ABC.

I apologize. I didn't mean to be insensitive. I didn't know this thread was going to be print out and sent to the Schaus family. :(

Who wasn't a huge Schaus backer? He turned the entire Wichita State program around and make it a sunny day again in Shockerville! :) By the way, what are you still doing around here? I thought you gave up on the Shockers until they become good again? :(

Easy come easy go I guess. It was an honest question as I thought I remembered reading that he left WSU to be with his sick father. Now that his father had passed maybe he will find his way back? Isn't the current AD an interim AD?

Who cares if it is or isn't? Hes dad dies and all you care about is "OMG!! MEBBE HE COME BECK!!" If that isn't being an insensitive ass, I don't know what is.

At least be respectful of his loss. I hope he's not hurting right now...
