Yes but the blown highlights are just the sand, which might have been intentional to put some room for the text that no one is interested in reading.

Still, it's sloppy. He lost the definition on the arm and the edge of the leg by blowing out a big chunk of the image. It just looks really sloppy and is really just a cheap "artistic" effect.
