We never should have lost this game, but we did.
Reality check.
We were predicted to finish 5th.
Our SOS is horrible.
We figured this year to be an NIT year.
Looks like we are right on track.
The problem is, our effort seems to be going south right at the time it should be on an upswing.
I do believe we have stuck with the same lineup a little bit on the long side.
Stutz for Durley.
Demetric getting some of DK's minutes.
Maybe KM every once in awhile for some energy.
Of course, none of can see what or whom is giving the effort in practice either.
Either way, it is time to shake up the rotation.
Rebounding has been ZERO the last few games - that appears to be a group effort.
Really? its only 5 hours back to Dallas. Dont let us stop you if this that boring.
Saw that too. Get him outta here.
Marshall says "we aren't an NCAA caliber team.. right now".
LOL.
I saw it too....in my opinion..kyles is our cancer right now and I am believing it more and more after his antics with Coach Marshall and JT the other night...and then tonight. too bad.
At this point, I am going to give the coach the benefit of the doubt and say that he can't coach effort.
I just don't know. I really don't.
no he cant ...but I think when we just start cadillac'in out there that he should make us press or a trap defense of some kind to MAKE THEM EXPEND SOME EFFORT....
Im gonna go kick the crap out of someone in modern warfare 2 for a while....
night all
1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"
This team = 2005, not 2007. We have defective leadership and will not achieve greatness until certain players graduate.
This squad's regression is something to behold. We really were a very good team before we went to Creighton. Oh well, time to hold out a snowball's chance in hell for St. Louis and then on to baseball season...
I will be disappointed in HCGM as a principled individual if JT starts on Sunday.
Some of my thoughts while watching tonight's game:
1) Why was Stutz not rewarded by starting the 2nd half after witnessing him pretty much score at will against Evansville's big men? HUGE coaching mistake, in my opinion.
2) We need Hannah's senior leadership on the road, most importantly. He has rarely showed that, this season.
3) Aaron Ellis should not start. Period. I don't care how good of defense he plays. We play four on five on the offensive end when he's in the game. Give me Gabe Blair or Garrett Stutz's defense any day, even if it isn't as good. At least they can score...

:goshocks:
JT has had more big games to qualify him as the 2nd half starter ILO Stutz. GS made a lot of nice uncontested shots in the first half, but as soon as Evansville played a little closer to his uni, GS was not able to produce much. JT has also spent the entire week on the first line in practice, and subbing him out for GS would (theoretically) throw the play timings off. I can't fault the coach for keeping with the game plan to which they practiced.
This loss was a team loss, including that from the coaching staff. We can't pin it on anyone individual or exclude any individual.
