  • Game to watch if you're bored....

If you wanna see the two WAC teams that Utah State is tied with for the conference lead they are playing each other right now on ESPN 360. These two teams along with Nevada are the top of the WAC. And I believe they are comparable to any top 4 from any mid major conference in the nation.
NMSU's overall record isn't really great. They were missing two of thier best players for the entire out of conference schedule.

Louisiana Tech vs. New Mexico State

entertaining game so far. Tied at 33 at halftime.

Diver, did you know that NMSU was in the Valley a few years back?

They were in the Sun Belt before the WAC and before the Sun Belt NMSU was in the Big West. Before that I don't know where they were.

Interesting -- I learn something new every day. Did they bail when Tulsa did?

Wu, there used to be another team in the Valley that you may not be aware of, West Texas State (now known as West Texas A&M). Not sure but I believe they left the Valley about the same time as NMSU.

Maurice Cheeks and the one and only Brad Schreck from KMC were the backcourt duo in the 70's when they beat us at Levitt with Robert Elmore. I think the school is now D-II.

WTSU had a great player named Maurice Cheeks, does that jog your memory?

I do think I remember Louisville being in the Valley. When I was just a kid.
