Warren Armstrong's jersey should be hanging from the rafters and about all he did ws change his name and religion. He may also have had some negative things to say about WSU and Wichita. If that's all the offense it takes to get left out of special recognition after graduation, then Elmore can't be in the HoF.

Or maybe we look at things seletively. Ralph Miller may have recruited across racial lines, but his color-blindness appeared to have begun and ended on the basketball court. That certainly didn't keep him out of the HoF.
    Was Warren Armstrong a 1st Team All-American?

It's time to let the wounds heal and embrace those that add so greatly to WSU athletics and its legacy.

I have a great deal of respect for those on the HOF selection committee, but I don't agree with a few of their decisions and Mr. Elmore's exclusion is one of them.

Neither was Cliff Levingston. I think Cliff was on the Basketball Times' 3rd team. Remember when Warren played there were not the plethora of All-American teams that came into being later. In Warren's day it was primarily the AP and UPI teams although there may have been others. Also the Valley was a arguably a tougher league in Warren's days.

The real question is "Was Warren Jabali (Armstrong) as good as or better than any of the players whose Jersey's are hanging in the rafters?"

I suppose we could do another poll on that question. If we did my vote would be yes.
