  • Something little I miss....

Despite the frustrating first 32 minutes of the game, I enjoyed the new songs and video messages that were played during the game. In recent games, the atheltic department has definately tried some new tactics and I like the deviation. However I still miss, at the beginning of the game, the announcement of coaches record: current, under WSU and lifetime. I think they stopped saying it under R. Smithson's term and I wish they would bring it back.

Any others remember something that they used to do and you wish they would bring back?

I remember, but it just got so embarrassing to announce for MC, ST and RS.

With a coach like GM, I guess it would be OK to do again, but I don't think it's necessary.

Lol. Oh those restrooms. They were permanent Health Department red tag material.

You mean the stalls with no doors on it and toilets that rarely flushed?

i seem to remember, at one time, i think they turned off the lights and used a spotlight for the starting line-ups. i know it can't be done with the lights now, but it would be cool.

I would definately love this and they have done this at shocker madness several times. However, I think it takes too much time for our current lighting system to warm up to make it feasable on a game to game basis. Until we change out that system, I will dream of a Chicago Bulls pregame ritual.

I don't think Mike Kennedy would like the no lights thing too much.

That's not entirely true.....while you can't turn the mercury vapor lights off and back on (it takes several minutes), many venues have a set of shutters attached that can open and close and allow you to black out an arena quickly, then quickly pop the lights back on.

It'd be a cool upgrade if the money were to suddenly become available...

I miss the half dozen clocks on the walls just above the seating. They said six different times, but they were usually within an hour of each other.
