Didn't David Rivers already commit to Notre Dame :)
Maybe it's his kid. Didn't he live in Wichita for a while? I know I saw him at Tallgrass once.
Might be wrong but I believe Rivers' dad is Ezelle Rivers who played for Arkansas Little Rock in the 80's with his twin brother Mike Rivers. Mike is in the UALR Hall of Fame.
Just to be fair with Snapshot, there were a couple of others in that other thread who had a hard time understanding where the other scholarship was going to come from.
To be fair, Overtime at least kept up with last week's thread and acknowledged his brain fart (which we all have from time to time).
Snap -- are you out there? Since you missed finishing the other thread, did you follow up on this thread?
Okay, okay ... brain fart, and I did not see the other thread last week. Jeesh, you guys are so FORGIVING.
Quite frankly, Shockernet is just a shadow of its' former self from what it was 3-4 years ago, meaning the activity and discussion is not what it used to be on here. Many more posters used to post on here, and the discussions were lively, and you hated to miss a day. Now, not so much.
Maybe these absentee posters feel since Marshall is at the wheel, they don't need to voice in their opinion nowdays, who knows?
I will try to stay more current in the future, but get one thing straight, I do not subscribe to the 'group clique' mentality that seems to prevail on here at times, I voice my own opinion, and sometimes, that is without yellow sunglasses on, in other words, in a more 'realistic' light of a bigger picture.
And some of my opinions are: MTXE is not Cold (I liked Cold, BTW), he raises some viable and realistic issues for discussion. I, also, thought coaches 'Bear and Sycamore' analogy was out in left field and not really appicable to the situation. The team showed some toughness last night, but they do not have enough yet, as evidenced when they play on the road
(should have beaten N. Iowa up there).
Williams needs to improve 40-50 percent for next year. Coach doesn't think that will happen, and that is why he is looking for a Junior College Point Guard to be the starting PG for next year.
Durley needs to realize what a difference he makes to the team when he plays 'all out' as opposed to just being out there. And he still gets lazy on defense at times.
Just my opinion, mind you, but I think it's possible that Manigault and Kyles many not be here next year.
