  • 1. I'm surprised that we did not shoot free throws well.

    2. That alarming new trend is likely not over.

    3. I THINK there was a foul on TM's last shot. Certainly appeared to be. I cannot comprehend comments like "it's not a foul at that time in the game", or "why call the foul when he would probly just miss the free throws", "don't bail him out just because somebody hit him while he is taking a bad shot". Ludicrus.

    4. HCGM's T was for being outside the coaching box. I presume it was thought that he came out in response to a call. That's a T.

    5. How on earth could we get outrebounded like that? Oddly, the ball seemed to come off the rim favorably for UNI, many times. We did not exactly give a box-out clinic either.

    6. Was thinking that the Shox got the best of the whistles, mostly.

    7. This is a team that can win in St Loo. I would rather do that and let somebody else worry about getting an at-large.

I thought the whistles in the first half were a little screwy. They definitely turned in our favor in the second half, though.

      • Ahelegbe

Fanmas, you may think Ahelegbe is a subpar player, but come the end of the season I'm betting you'll find his name prominently displayed among the all-Valley selections. Give credit where credit was due -- he stepped up last night, and yes, he got hot. But he did step up.

        • Final comment: Adam Koch has to be the sorriest excuse for a human being I have ever seen in a long time. He whines all the time, and he is a dirty player. He got away with elbows all game long. I wish somebody would have put him on his ass where he belongs.
Stutz did that once. Refs reviewed the play for 5 minutes to determine if it was flagrant. Turns out it was a flagrant flop.

Actually I think Stutz pulled a trick he learned last year. With Koch leaning and banging on him, Stutz stepped back and Koch missed (and went down) when he tried to lay a shoulder into Stutz.

In a couple of years the refs will review the situation if Stutz goes down.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Yeah, KU got that foul called last night that allowed them to put the game in OT. And it was less of a foul than what happened to Murray.

I was watching and Murray was clearly fouled. And KU always gets the calls.

              Tough loss for WSU.

              • Murry said after the game, that he would not air ball like that in that situation because he was clearly fouled.

Sorry. I have to disagree with TM here. I've seen too many airballs from him this year being untouched to justify this line of reasoning.

It was a very bad, forced shot.

                    • My first post on this thread diagnoses the Shox with a one-off mentality. They know they are pretty good. They just don't have the confidence to win games like these on the road. They were lucky to win at SIU despite clearly being the better team. Even though they should've won this game and the BJU game it seems as if they just are thinking about winning instead of just winning.

                      Nuff said.

Sometimes it feels like Bruce likes the other team more than WSU.

                          • Oh Andover thanks for reminding me. Bruce just gushed away at the Panthers. I was close to hurling on his performance. Hey did you notice Bruce threw in that he was an old baseball player. He can't resist that. If he would just quit trying to be Charles Dickens on a sports broadcast, that would be enough for me.
