Clevin is the best basketball player at WSU in a very long time. He is absolutely in charge and he has a great understanding of when the team needs him to score.
Overall - this was a great bounce back game and everyone appeared ready to take care of business
I have long said that CH is the best PG at WSU since Cal Bruton. Still true, but I am beginning to think that he may be better. No stats to back that up, but I don't believe that any PG since Cal or some from the teams in the early 60s have had more impact.
Overall I thought it was a nice effort--a good way to rebound from the Drake disaster. Toure's defense on OE was great. Clevin did what seniors often do--step up when his team needed him to.
Sad to see the streak come to an end, but all good things, and at least his name will be firmly in the Shocker record books for many years to come. He's one of those guys that you really wish you could have for 4 years--not just 2. We've got 4 more home games and we need to enjoy watching him because it won't be long before he's gone.
Now, on the 'negative' side... there was way too much dribble driving allowed in the second half. Those were only temporary lapses, but they were still frustrating. We're going to have to play better 2nd half D to knock off SIU. I think our days of sleeping through games is done. We'll still have moments of problems, but I don't see us having a full game like the Drake game again.

I completely agree on the dribble drive defense issues this team has shown all season. Its the cryptonite to our superman and will bring this team down in the end. If the redbirds aren't able to drive the ball as much in the second half we win by close to 20. We did better in spots and Durley had a great block on one late but we can not rely on Valley Refs to keep our bigs out of foul trouble if we continue to let guards drive to the bucket like this.
Stutz looked pretty good out there the little time he played. He was more active on the perimeter with his help defense--almost got a couple steals. As always, he has to draw blood to get a foul called on him.
Durley did not look very good with the ball down in the post. His post moves were off last night. I don't know if that is more because of Odiakosa's defense or if he just had a bad game. His 3's were great, though.

Completely agree on Stutz. He was great on the perimeter and he also held Odiakosa in check on the low block. His stat line for this game won't be that impressive, but he played very well.
"Cotton scared me - I left him alone." - B4MSU (Bear Nation poster) in reference to heckling players
Had to miss tonight's game due to a previous appointment involving seared seabass and medium rare sirloin...
Just caught this pic on kansas.com - Graham can fly now?
Now thats MTXE! :posterwu: 8)
He's the hardest player on the court game in and game out.
He is the exact reason you can not judge a players game performance based on reading a box score.
If you don't admire or appreciate his effort and desire, you need to find another form of entertainment to watch. 8)

I was very impressed by Stutz effort last night. He was causing some problems on the perimeter by being aggressive and smart and was fighting in the paint. He may not win every battle but he's battling. He's got a lot of heart.
