I don't really buy it. After it's all said & done, we will probably still be a one-bid conference this year. The major-conference bias is in full force right now.

I pretty much agree with you but the positive press can't hurt. I still think the only way we get two is if UNI doesn't win in the Lou.

The national exposure is nice, however . . .

With that kind of rep, you'd think the NCAA selection committee would have the Valley on its radar.
Part of it is the selection committee's recent trend of giving at-large bids to the six largest conferences.
Unless he's implying the selection committee is lying or conspiring against non-major conferences, this writer is ignorant and guilty of continuing the myth that conference affiliation has direct influence on at-large selections.

Is it really that hard to get informed?

I've watched several Valley games this year and have caught UNI multiple times.

I think the one thing that I've noticed is that UNI is pretty much at their ceiling as far as how good they could potentially get. Where WSU still has the ability to raise their game higher.

I look at it kinda like in the Big 10...Purdue is what Purdue will be all year...But several other teams could be on a totally different level than they currently are by the time post season comes around.

            Great example.

TurFin makes a good point that many of us tend to forget when we have games like the Drake game. This team has not reached it's full potential. There's still quite a way to go even on good nights. That means even this year we have much to potentially look forward to.

All we can do is hope they keep working hard and learning from their mistakes, along with honing the skills they have.

Oh by the way I think both teams advance and one kicks butt to the sweet sixteen or beyond.
