Originally posted by SubGod22Originally posted by Shox21I know this will be widely unpopular before I even start. I am absolutely NOT A FAN of "P'Stunt," but it makes me a little uneasy that an official would T up a player on what someone from the opposing team says he said (and I really don't care that it was the opposing Coach rather than a player or fan). I don't doubt for a minute P' said what Coach Martin said he did, but I don't like it that the ref gives a T without having actually seen or heard the transgression himself.
It’s unclear what happened next, although referee Curtis Shaw and Stinnett apparently exchanged words. The exchange continued during a stoppage of play following a foul with 12:25 left.
Shaw was near the Missouri State bench, with Stinnett about 5 feet away. Two reporters seated near the bench heard Missouri State coach Cuonzo Martin tell Shaw that Stinnett had “cussed’’ the official.
“You can’t let him do that,’’ Martin told Shaw.
Shaw hesitated briefly, then called the technical foul on Stinnett. The referee and Altman had a brief conversation, and Altman removed Stinnett from the game."

I'm guessing too much is being read into that. From an observers POV I could see how it may look, but sometimes by the time you process what just happened, pick your whistle up and put it in your mouth and blow it, it's easy for a coach or player or whatever to say look what he did and have no effect on you at all. I highly doubt that Shaw was persuaded by Martin. Unless Shaw was going to let it slide for some reason but since it was heard by others he decided he had to go with it. Not sure why you'd let a player get away with talking to you like I'm guessing P did.
And I admit I only skimmed thru the article while talking on the phone last night.Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan

I know I'm a contrarian here, but I don't like it when opposing teams' players get injured or booted. I know it gives us an advantage but I want to kick CU's ass in the tournament and I don't want ANY excuses from their fans as to why they got their ass kicked.
Call me silly, but I prefer watching a "battle royale" over a "romp".Kung Wu say, man who read woman like book, prefer braille!

Kung Wu, don't worry about beating CU at full strength. CU will probably be a better team without Stinnett. Stinnett's been poisoning the locker room in Omaha as long as he's been there.
I can see where an official might "fail to hear" something and then when a coach heard the same thing realize he can't deny what he heard. That makes perfect sense to me. A lot of times it's best to be deaf while officiating, but the official has to be aware of others who may have heard the same thing. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.

Originally posted by RoyalShockAccording to one CU fan, P had been trash-talking an MSU player, was told to cool it, but didn't. Then after the steal and dunk, did a little chest-bump to said player.
Sound somewhat familiar?
I believe that's what got him T'd up when they played here.
