Predictions for the 2nd half of the Valley Season

Well, we are at the halfway point of the MVC Season. I will list the current standings then list the remaining games for each team. How does everyone think the season will play out?

Here is how I see the final standings:

Bradley 11-7
Illinois State 10-8

I was looking at the schedual and figured that if we win @Bradley or @SIU, lose at UNI and win at Evansville, we should finish 13 & 5...Which would be good for 2d which in my opinion would be great...a 2 seed might just get us to the Championship game for the 1st time since I've been attending MVC Tourney in St L...(14 years)

Just to add a recent historical perspective, we've been a 1 or 2 seed twice in the last five years and still no championship game appearance.

But you're right, it still might happen. Turgeon couldn't get it done. But things might be different if Marshall can get the same opportunity.

Evansville isn't going 0-18. To me, right now, we look to be squarely in their crosshairs.

12-6 looks very high on the expectation ladder right now. To me, that looks like ZERO room for error.

12-6 is where we'll be if we win our home games and lose 3 of 4 road games. I think 13-5 is optimistic, but possible. We have to win at SIU or BU, but not both. All of our home games are definitely winnable.

You all remember that we were picked 5th right?

If I'd have said we could run away with the two seed behind conference favorite UNI at the beginning of the season, would you have taken it?

I'm disappointed in the loss at Drake, but not hopeless on the season.

It all starts with a win vs. ISU this Wed.

Wednesday is HUGE. We must hold home court. And Illinois State matches up very well with us athletically. Don't see us winning @ SIU, UNI, or BU.

I know, it's strange there are people who come to the message board and chastise people for discussing things. I mean why bother?

Read the stuff that interest you and stay away from the stuff that doesn't. Personally I think the weekly "prediction" thread is a waste of time - but other find enjoyment. While I find the weekly winter weather "prediction" interesting (and it is all about equally inaccurate).
