Guys: I'm tired of investing in tickets, merchandise, time and effort to watch you sigh about coming out flat. How can that ever be? How can you ever not come out playing like it's your last game? Yes, I know you are 19, 20 and 21. You are just kids. But you are God gifted young men, who have shown you can play with any team in America. How can you come out so flat, against a Drake team with only 4,000 in attendance? WSU has provided you with the best coach, best facilities and best fans in the conference. You have a remarkable educational opportunity in Wichita and at WSU. You have a maximum of about 120 regular games to play in your career. How can you ever come out and give the kind of effort you did yesterday at Drake? You know those 10,506 that see you every night at Koch? They are deflated. You owe us your best shot every night. Us, and the tens of thousands of Shocker fans around the country who live and die on your every shot. You are not a mediocre team. Your are a fine team that doesn't seem to care when you are away from home. Get after it, or get some new fans to invest. I expect a lot better!

That's it. Hide the sharp objects. No shoelaces for Fredster.
Seriously, what are you gonna do? Pull your support? Demand Gregg get fired? Demand someone lose a schollie? Won't change anything. Have faith...Deep in the heart of couldn't give a crap about college basketball-land and I miss the SHOX.

I actually somewhat agree with Fred in certain points. What makes a team switch on and off so badly like that? I realize they were playing in a high school gym with a high school atmosphere yesterday but come on. You have to channel that crap out and be ready to play every night.. EVERYWHERE.
I don't think it's time to be calling off support but I do agree that the Omaha and Des Moines efforts were half-hearted at best and very hard to watch.
Sometimes I wonder if these guys really do wanna make the Big Dance. I know if I wanted to, I'd come out playing like it. They had some huge opportunities these last couple of weeks to make some noise and get some national "love" and notice. Now, they pretty much have to start from scratch.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

If the team had not improved each and every year since HCGM took over, had we not improved our road record each year along with our regular record... Our recruiting has improved, etc. etc. etc.
We are all frustrated when the team plays poorly--clearly it is a bit perplexing that they play SO differently some times between home and away, and some of the things that were said by Fredster make some sense, as someone who lived through some of the worst years in Shocker history basketball-wise, retracting one's support for the team we love because of anything that has happened this season is to me ridiculous.

Fredster has a total of 9 posts. I believe his last topic was Ellis needs to take a red shirt next year.
I recall inviting Dan, Fredster, and MTXE to take a little break from posting.
Fredster did. He avoided posting until something bad happened to the Shox. I love the fans who only find any words to say when things are going bad. No support for the team during the good times. Remaining silent while the team overcomes a lot of things to emerge as a contender, but the moment anything goes wrong, they're here complaining how the team just isn't good enough to deserve a fan like them.
Disgusting!The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
