We always get a good crowds for KU and KSU in baseball. We make money off those games.
We don't make money for playing either team at their place. That's an expewnse for the athletic department.
We can draw 4K to 6K for about any team we play in decent weather. Why would we schedule KU or KSU at their place? It costs our athletic department money. We can get enough people to watch us against Kansas Newman that we at least break even. Why should we spend money to travel to Manhattan or Lawrence and play for free?
That's the excuse they use against us in basketball.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades. We like to cut down nets and get sized for championship rings.
Now would be a good time for the state schools to all play each other. With the economy the way it is, and with budget cuts to the academic programs, it makes great economic sense for these 3 schools to play each other.
I am not holding my breath, but it would be great. :wsu_posters:
