I'd sure like to go see the Shockers on the floor at historic Hinkle Field House. It needs to happen.

Maybe we could get Jimmy Chitwood on our bench. Or maybe Gene Hackman. I can do a pretty good imitation of Dennis Hopper.

That VCU site also has a chart from last year.

Four of the top five (by RPI) road teams were all given slightly unfavorable match-ups (one spot lower on the home side). The #4 road team (RPI 57) got hosed, having to play at RPI 101 (10th rated home team).

UNI (RPI 73, ninth among away teams) got a major favor drawing the home #1 (RPI 20), Siena.

How about us at Butler and Siena at NIU?

I would like to watch both of those games? Hopefully others at ESPN would feel the same way?

What would make a Siena vs. Northern Illinois match-up worth watching?

Siena and UNI played each other in last year's Bracketbusters. They played again this season in the return game, which UNI won by 17.

If we want Butler or VCU or anybody worth a damn, Rico is right. We have to finish out January unbeaten. Any loss and we're off the radar, off the map, and will be placed into obscurity/mediocrity.

So, get back with me after January 31st in Carbondale.

Exactly, which would void out the possibility of this game. Can't play a team that you've already played this year, per BB rules.

We have always seemed to get the benifit of the doubt in regards to Bracketbuster match-ups. Being a more well known name and having a great looking/sounding arena for TV has helped us in securing better match ups then some of our counterparts. Barring a melt down in the next two weeks, I would fully expect us to be one of the top three featured match ups. Even if we don't get a huge RPI boost, I think winning a big game on ESPN has some value come tournament selection time as well.

The match up with Utah St. would be fine with me.

I agree they almost always have a solid team. A match-up with Northeastern or Western Carolina could be disappointing in 2 years. Those 2 programs really stick out as the worst of that group.
