  • Somebody's Missing...

I think his/her name is an acronym...

They were boisterous and loud Saturday night, Sunday, Monday, and during the first half of yesterday, but yet today after a win over a Top 20 opponent, they are mysteriously quiet..

Anybody have any idea why this is and where they could be?
    Deuces Valley.
    ... No really, deuces.

Perhaps this thread should have been entitled "Somebody's missing ME". :)

Sorry, I have been sooo busy since the game that I didn't have time to put in my 2 cents. I figured nobody wanted to hear it anyway. :)

It was a great, really loud game.

I can't believe that Northern Iowa didn't hit a three all game until the closing minutes. You have to give the Shocker's tough defense some of the credit for that rare occurrence.

Adam Koch is a very high-level player. I would suspect that he could have played for any team in Iowa as well as many top-tier schools around the country. He moves really well and knows how to use his body to his advantage. I have called JT the best post man in the league, but Koch could certainly make an argument for that title.

Two pivotal points in the game for me were Graham Hatch's rebound and putback, and Gabe Blair's offensive board (tip-out) that gave us another possession when the game was close. Gabe Blair's game screams starter, but as I have mentioned in another thread, I believe the team is best served with him coming off the bench. He would be a starter on any other team in the league. Gabe could be scary-good before he graduates.

Stutz? I feel sorry for him. I know he is a fierce competitor. I just hope the day comes where he can shove him game down the throats of all that doubted him (like me at times).

Toure' Murry should not be botching alley-oops to Kyles, especially when the game is on T.V. As little tolerance as their is in making a three-point shot, alley-oops should seem like throwing it in the ocean. Just get the ball in the general area Toure'! He almost threw the ball over the backboard. :(

The Shockers are in good shape. They need to demoralize Drake.

HCGM definitely 'outcoached' B.J. Tuesday night. ;)

JT was the one who missed on the lob to Kyles, not Toure'.

You are absolutely correct. I can remember JT smiling as he back-pedaled down the court. A guard probably wouldn't have messed up that feed.

there is an art to those. lot of it is technique and a lot is the chemistry between the players. not as easy as they appear.
