I've been laying off the predictions, but I'll give it a shot:

Shockers win 67-54, Durley leads the scoring with 16.

Drake will be ready to play this time out. Remember that they were our first Valley game of the season here, and now we're 2nd and contending for the title. If your major post season aspirations are dashed early as likely there's is (although there's still a lot of basketball to play), nothing makes you feel better than playing spoiler to the top teams and Drake is definitely going to have that on their minds.

However... I think the Shox now understand what's at stake and perhaps more importantly understand what they must do to achieve it. If the stay out of silly foul trouble (especially the big guys) we should win this one. I predict they will...

Here's the deal. This past summer, I kept hearing suppositions while at scrimmages, that this Shocker team would be special and raise some eyebrows. Then I heard we beat K-State in a preseason scrimmage. We lost to a solid Pitt. team without #3 on the floor. Now we have now defeated 2 ranked teams at the Chuck. So what does all of this mean? Willie N. sang it best. "On the road again, the Shocks can't wait to win on that road again." Even so, the Bulldawgs will not be chopped liver and be as eager to beat us down as the butchers dawg is to gnaw on some juicy bones at supper time. Yikes!!!!!!! Thus, the Shocks will find a way to win by 7.

Lose this one and that pretty much erases the win over UNI. If the Shox plan on remaining in the race for the championship...then this one is as much of a must win as the one against UNI was...
