Coach Marshall and the team presented the game ball to the Fahnestock family in the locker room after the game. Lots of tears and hugs from coaches, administrators, and players.

We are extremely fortunate at Wichita State to have such a tremendous Athletic Dept and to have the Marshalls in our community and as representatives of our school. They treat every Shocker fan like they are a member of their own family - they know no strangers.

We are lucky. We were also lucky to have 'Mr. Shocker' behind us for so many years.

Hopefully the game and HCGM's efforts made the family feel just a little better--if for a little while anyway.
