MSU beat InSt in OT. 99-92

the trees came back in the second half after being down 24!
11-14 threes!

scored 60 friggin' points in the second half.
tied the game on a 3 with less than a second to force OT.
MSU survived though.
60 points.... my God....
that would be hard to watch as a MSU fan. everytime you try to get stoked for you team, ISU goes down the court and hits a 3. hah.

From a Shocker rpi perspective, wouldn't we want the 3 road teams to win tonight?

Drake over Evansville
Creighton over Illinois State
Bradley over Southern Illinois

My reasoning:

1) Drake is on a roll, and are inching into the top 200.
2) Creighton and Illinois St. are both near the top 100, but with Creighton's SOS significantly higher than ISU's, would stand a much better chance of becoming top 100.
3) Bradley is currently in the top 100. A win would keep them there.

The more Valley teams in the top 100 will look better for our resume. That would leave just ISU(Red), SIU, DU 100-200, and only EU sub 200.

I'd rather see Creighton lose anytime, anything, anywhere. If they had an intrasquad scrimmage I'd want to see both sides lose somehow.

BTW, I have no love lost for the screeching birds...

sCUm and Illinois State are both similar and too similar enough to warrant me NOT rooting for the sCUm to win. Sorry.

I know it pains some of you to ever root for CU (and believe me--I'm not cheering for them), but it honestly might be in our best interest for CU to right the ship, and win a few ballgames. Having them 50-100 rpi is good for WSU, as opposed to +100.

I'm not sure Illinois State can get there (with their 237 SOS)

Lil Boy Roy and UNC are headed for their 3rd loss in a row and 4th in 5 games. If this kind of play continues, it'll be interesting to see how poorly they'll have to play to not make the dance.

Looks like #11 Pittsburgh is going to lose to #14 Georgetown. Pitt's down 71-62 with 22 seconds left in the game.

EDIT: 74-66 final. Pitt ends 31 home game winning streak.

Yep, while UNI probably won't be ranked again even if they win out (which I doubt, but still). IMHO UNI should still be ranked about #24-#25. They should have been ranked earlier and losing a road game to Wichita St isn't THAT bad. Heck even Texas Tech stayed ranked after losing to us early in the year. They fell 7 spots in the AP poll. So I guess by that then UNI should be JUST out of the top 25. My bet is they will be lucky to receive enough votes to put them around the 30-40th range....just stupid.
