Cold, just for fun, can you name all the coaching blunders Marshall did in this game. I'll stop the list at 10 so you can't go night, because I know there were just that many.

The great thing about discussing Dana Altman is that even if you hate him, you have to admit that he has an uncanny knack of getting the most out of his players (at least in regards to Valley play). It almost seems like he is a sixth man on the court.

While there are certainly other areas that can be measured when evaluating a coach, wins and losses are the eventual means by which judgment is made. Our coach is 1-1 versus Dana this year which should be fine by most people's standards. But why is everybody so disgusted? If they would admit it, it is because they see the clear advantage one roster has over the other.

For those of you that feel anger when reading my criticisms, understand that we are only talking about Dana (and perhaps Martin for that one game). I personally feel that HCGM is a better coach than most in the Valley in all respects. I just think he has a bit more to learn before he handles coach Altman. Turgeon never defeated Altman at home.

If MTXE is Coldblooded, I would ask that MTXE be banned, not because Cold was such a jerk in the old days but because MTXE is such an %$#@&*^ now. Please ban him because he Swish, and 10 are making this board unenjoyable. This is a fan message board. Not a board for non fans and fans of other institutiions that simply want to antagonize.

How are my posts indicative of someone not a fan of WSU? I have a tremendous interest and knowledge of Wichita State sports. My criticisms are only because I want the best out of the university. I am just as angry as the next guy after today's loss (perhaps angrier).

I think all the name calling and threats are due to the insecurity complex that plagues this message board. It has been several months and people are still trying to 'uncover my secret identity' or label me as a fan from another school. Are my posts really that different from the typical Shocker fan?

Yes Cold. Diana coached so well that he nearly let a big sCUm lead in the final minutes all but disappear. The fix prevented the win from being taken from him and he looks like a god? lol.. yeah.. ok.

As poorly as we played, Altman's team gave up a double digit lead and almost lost the game and you claim that is an example of good coaching? You can criticize Marshall for how our team played, but Creighton sucked out there on the court as well. Altman may pass Coaching 101 today, but only with a D-.

exactly what did i do to be lumped into this category? im not a homer. im a realist. just b/c i dont think the refs cost wsu the game? give me a break. wsu is a better team than creighton but didnt play like it tonight. creighton didnt score a field goal for the first 8 minutes of the game and wsu had 9 or 10 points. if wsu shoots even close to as well as they are capable of from the line and the field tonight they win in dominating fashion. that is why i hate how shocker fans are blaming the refs... blaming the refs for a loss is the pvssy's way out...

but what purpose does it serve to confront people while they are venting? if you let them vent they'll come to terms with things sooner and allow for more meaningful discourse.

you bring up a fair point. i should admit that people blaming officials for losses is the biggest pet peeve i have since truly good and/or great teams dont put themselves in those positions. officials are people and make mistakes, to claim they have a vendetta against the shockers is extremely childish imo...

but if you notice after most losses, esp close losses, people blame the refs rightly so or not.

on a slightly related topic, creighton does seem to get more calls in omaha. this isnt based just off of wsu games. dont know if it is true or not but it just seems that way.
