  • Bluejays get transfer from Rutgers

The BJC is saying 6'9" SO F Greg Echenique is transferring to CU for the 2nd semester.

In seven games averaged 12.6 points, 7.7 boards and 2.3 blocks per game. Pretty significant pickup for CU.

I heard that this guy wanted to transfer because he was tired of losing. By choosing Creighton I would guess he hasn't watched the Jays play at all this year.

I imagine he'll enjoy being the only post man in the program. Plenty of PT will be available.

Including GE, our current recruiting class has the following heights: 6'9, 6'9 and 6'11.

          GODEcheniqueGOD?

          One Bluejay fan's take:
This has to immediately make us the favorite in the Valley next year. Even though we've had a disappointing year, we will have an absolutely absurd amount of talent returning and are adding what will undoubtedly be the most dominant player in the league.

Should be some good battles between your bigs and ours over the next couple of years...considering we have two 7 footers with solid experience...one recruited by KU and the other by UK.

They'll still have P'suck it to taint whoever is playing next year.

                Unless P'suck it goes pro.

6'11" guy couldn't post me and everyone agrees that he isn't a post.

Doesn't matter anyway. As long a P is on the team, trouble isn't far off. Dana can coach, but he coaches "his" guys.

Nope. He's from the Big East. Therefore he will DOMINATE this league.

                          Game. Set. Match.

Not to repeat Shock but i to bet this guy thinks he plays in the Big East and will come to the little ol' Missouri Valley and dominate.

I want to know who he averaged those numbers against, I just looked at one game against Florida and saw he posted a goose egg.

It seems that the entire CU fanbase agrees that a huge problem for their team is the complete lack of point guard play, yet apparently adding a big man will solve all their team's ills.
