Our 2 losses are to teams that are a combined 25-6. I couldn't care less about the votes for top 25.

I care about recognition and that flame has been sparked so I am good with that...it's on us now to continue winning, rankings be damned, either way.

At least that's how I see it.

I tend to agree but what was our justification for getting 35 votes 2 weeks earlier? Granted the Redbird loss was brutal and the margin we lost to them probably played a big roll. But you also have to consider it was a road game. And you also have to consider that loss was essentially canceled out when we beat MSU on the road a week later.

It's hard to think a loss to Illinois State on the road would be that much of a deal-breaker.

If we want to sniff the Top 25, we MUST win our next 3 games. Period.

In all honesty, I'd be happy with 2 of 3 though.

Agreed. I care more about winning the games we need to in order to get our RPI to an at-large consideration level than about the top 25. I'm not saying I wouldn't love to be in the top 25, but conference standings and RPI are just a lot more important right now.

            Yup, just keep winning.

I don't recall for sure, but we weren't ranked in 2006 either were we?

We were in the last poll, I know, but were we going into the tournament?

A voice of reason as usual.

Don't worry about rankings, they will come if they continue to take care of business.

Wait maybe we need to talk about being on the radar again?

Is it best to be under the radar?

              A little on the radar?

              Fully on the radar?

              Or completely over it?

I cannot remember which is best this time of the year.

I would say that if we could be in the same company as Stealth bombers and ballistic missile subs, we should stay undetected until we are over the target area and then announce our presence with some sort of unconventional weapon.
