The Shockers, who also have an OOC win over Texas Tech on their resume, won at Missouri State and at home against Creighton this week to cement themselves as the MVC's second-best team. With Northern Iowa looking like a very good at-large candidate, we like the Valley's chances to be a two-bid league come Selection Sunday, and for Wichita to be that second team.

After the wildest week of the season to date, there was a ton of movement in our latest bracket. That movement started at the top, thanks to...

Nice to be back in the discussion.

But it was also the tragic consequence of the informational malnourishment so badly afflicting the nation. ... Americans gorge themselves daily on empty informational calories, indulging their sugar fixes of self-affirming half-truths and even outright lies.'

He also has the PAC 10 with just one bid.

While I like his bracket and what he says about the Shocks, I do NOT believe that the PAC 10 will only get one bid.

Since the expansion to 64 (and now 65) teams, no BCS conference has ever received just one bid.

Even if they end up beating each other up and they all end up with terrible rpis (they had a weak showing in the non-conference ), the committee will come up with some excuse to give them 3 bids (at least 2, but probably 3). :wsu_posters:

The PAC-10 will get at the most 2 bids this year and it is possible only 1. The PAC lost a ton of talent to the NBA (more players than any other conference) and every team is basically in a rebuild situation this year. This is by far the weakest PAC-10 I've ever seen. I think coaches like Howland at UCLA will be rethinking the wisdom of going after players that will likely be one and done.

I will believe one bid when it happens. Billy Packer and a lot of the talking heads would scream bloody murder.

If USC rises to the top or near the top of the PAC 10, they will be a 2-bid conference. If not, I think 3. Not saying it is deserved, just my opinion of what will happen....

*** USC is uneligible for postseason play due to "self-imposed sanctions" relating to OJ Mayo.

Since we are on the topic of "bracketology," how does everyone like our possible last 10 games?

            vs Indiana St.
            @ Evansville
            vs Missouri St.
            vs Evansville
            @ Bracketbusters TBA
            @ Bradley
            vs. Southern Ill.
            MVC Quarterfinals
            MVC Semifinals
            MVC Championship

This assumes we make the championship game but overall the last 10 look favorable IMO. I know we need to get through the tough next 7 before the final stretch but hopefully the wins will keep rolling in. GO SHOX!!!

I like our chances at a 6-1 or 7-0 finish to the regular season! We need to get there with a strong showing, however.

I agree with you. Even though they could end up deserving one bid, the committee will give them at least two and probably three. USC beng ineligible for post season play might make it harder for them to give them 3 bids.

It wouldnt be fair (giving them 3 bids if they end up with just one good team), but I just don't see the committee giving a BCS conference one bid. It has NEVER happened since the expasion to 64 (now 65) teams.

I think it would be great if they only got one bid, I just don't see the committee doing that.
