    1. Will Creighton finish with a winning record?

    2. If they finish with a losing record will this be Dana Altmans last season as Creighton coach?

  • #2
They did not look like a team yesterday. I think they have the tools to turn it around. Ultimately I could care less about their record as long as we beat them.

They only way Dana is not at Creighton next year is if he takes another job. He's done too much there to have one subpar season endanger his job.

Say what you will about Altman, but his sitting P'Allen the remainder of the game after the Technical moved him up a notch in my book.

So now, instead of being total birdsh*t, he's just the bright white part of the birdsh*t.

The problem is that it was about three years too late.

In addition, I have no reason to believe that Dana would have benched him if he had been scoring effectively. It doesn't take much guts to bench a guy when he has been completely ineffective.

Based on how P'Allen has played against us, one could argue that it would be smart to bench him for the entire game from a basketball standpoint, even if his attitude was flawless.

                  1) Possible, but probably not.
                  2) No way. He is set there for a while. They would have to have a stretch of a few losing seasons.

No way is Altman's job in any kind of jepoardy. I hope CU turns things around in the last part of the season like we did last year. Let's say after we beat them at home. We can use them to play spoiler for us. We won't have to face them any more and we sure could use a valley team to start knocking off some contenders.

I do think he should bench that cancer on his team. I think they would be a better team then.

CU has a problem. At best they are playing 4 against 5 and perhaps 3 against 5.

                      Harriman cannot play.

Punk runs so hot and cold that Coach Altman has no idea, which Punk will show up. When he doesn't show up, the Blue Birds are playing 3 on 5.

Either way, it is hard to win playing one or two men short.

I agree No and No -

Besides - It is fun to have someone in the Valley we despise as much as Dana. Our family's hatred of him is half the fun.

But then again if he was gone - maybe I would not behave quite so badly in front of my 7 and 11 year olds. Things came out of my mouth on Sat. that probably should not have - oh well.
