it didnt appear he was bothered to much by the injury..hopefully he can recover without missing alot of playing time. I think he is getting better each game and hes been providing some quality minutes

1/16/2010 on the "Screw at the Q" HCGM... " Ive never seen a foul parade like that...If you would of let me know it was going to be a foul parade I would of brought a different team" .... "dont talk to me about fouls....Ive got to go back and look at some tape... I have some thoughts but I need to look at the tape and then I will have something very strong to say"

Postgame radio show said that Stutz's injury is a muscle strain near the knee and has nothing to do with the structural components of the knee itself. This is a good thing.
Muscle strain above the knee will heal faster than ligament damage so thank goodness for that.

But as the game wore on it did look like he had no problems at all.

He spent a lot of time riding the bike that was behind the bench, just to keep it loose, I'd guess."I not sure that I've ever been around a more competitive player or young man than Fred VanVleet. I like to win more than 99.9% of the people in this world, but he may top me." -- Gregg Marshall 12/23/13 :peaceful:

Remember when Nancy Pelosi said about Obamacare:
"We have to pass it, to find out what's in it".
A physician called into a radio show and said:
"That's the definition of a stool sample."

I thought Garrett looked half a step slow compared to what I've seen in other games. A little more tentative around the basket.
I am a Stutz supporter, but Garrett can't lose half a step of speed or quickness, or have any increase in tentativeness, or his game is pretty much gone.
He was obviously favoring the knee in warm-ups, but looked to get more and more comfortable as he warmed up.
Even with Stutz lacking some mobility and aggressiveness, it was fun watching CU players consistently going into the lane and then trying to figure out what to do next when they ran into Stutz just standing there with his arms straight up. They threw up a lot of junk. The same thing happened when they ran into the other front court guys down low.
CU had a pretty low shooting percentage from 7' and closer. I don't think that's because their players don't have a shooting touch from that distance. They just don't have a shooting touch with the altered angles they had to use to get the ball past the Shox D.The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

I thought, especially in the first half Lawson had more problem with Stutz defending him than any of our other post.Follow me on twitter: https://twitter.com/Shox_KCfan

This should bring out the haters:
Stutz has learned some footwork and how to use his long legs. Lawson had a lot of trouble getting around Stutz, 'cause Stutz was covering a lot of horizontal distance with his legs and footwork. It was obvious Lawson didn't like going up against a taller player.
Stutz is learning D faster than I thought he'd pick it up. He's showing a lot of signs that he's able to coordinate the actions to play good D. I think Stutz is probably a student of the game and a pretty smart player.
Looking at Stutz as a 7' So, his D is quite a ways ahead of a lot of players of similar size and age (including Paul Miller, as a So), by a substantial margin. As he matures, gets stronger, and has more reps on D, he could be a defensive monster by his Sr year. The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.
