Eglesedar is hard to stop. Various types of pressure defenses and pressuring the guards will be the key to handling UNI. Once JE gets the ball down low, he's too big and too tall to stop regularly.

I certainly think Stutz can be as ggod or better than JE when he is a senior.

          They'll flop soon enough.

The only thing slowing down Stutz offensively this year is the short jump shot inside. I think the 2 shots he missed today were inside of 5 feet. Except for his missed 3 point attempts, I would guess that most of his misses this year have been within 5 feet.

When he gets those shots figured out, he'll be really good.

My guess is N. Iowa will lose 3-4 games in Valley play. The Shocks will beat them at least once. You'll see, you'll see!!!!!!!

I'd love for Northern Iowa to lose 3-4 games, and in a league as good as the Valley this year it's not entirely out of the question. That said they're going to have to lose some random games against bottom feeders to accomplish the task. They've already won @ SIU, Creighton, and Illinois State and looking ahead on their schedule they only play 3 more league games I would consider up in the air (@ WSU, @ISU(blue), @MSU). We can say the league race is still wide open but after watching UNI dismantle Ill St. today it feels like they might come very close to that perfect season-excluding the loss we'll kindly deliver on 1-19. Even that will be a nail biter. I can't see how this team remains unranked.

But then Drake beat SIU in Carbondale today sooo who knows?

believe me when i say that i was not even remotely close to a stutz believe going into this year. then i watched the cbe classic and saw him play terribly against pitt only to follow it up well against iowa. he has his issues but he will keep improving every game and by the time his senior year rolls around he will be at least as good as paul miller...

I really just want to see him grab those rebounds! So often he is the first player to touch an errant shot, but he just doesn't have the strength to grab it. He will.

Probably a huge reason that N.Iowa took this road win which is not normal in Normal, is they held Mr. Eldridge to 4-14 shooting and a smithering 10 overall points. However, did any of you see the 360 Eldridge made? wowwwwwwwwwwwwwwww!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

He grabs rebounds just fine. There are better leapers in the league so he will never dominate the boards every night. What he can do, and has done some this year, is what Miller used to do. Use his body to clear out the lane and allow another player to grab the rebound. He may only average 4.5 rebounds per game in somewhat limited minutes this year, but he has assisted on probably at least 2 rebounds per game by boxing out. He doesn't ALWAYS box out as well as he should, but he's doing better and better with that all the time.
"He called me around noon and was thrilled," Brandt said. "He said he was going to be a Shocker forever." -- RIP Guy, you WILL indeed be a Shocker forever!

You mean Egleseder? Because there is no way Garrett Stutz would be able to guard OE or do a three sixty lay up like him.
