I don't see how we could just have a 60 rpi after beating the Bears, who had a 29 rpi, and don't tell me it's the SOS because our win tonight just flies that argument out the window.
This win tonight, along with the win over Texas Tech, solidifies the thought that our team is 'for real', or at least, it should. I believe TTU is still rated 20 in the top 25.
The RPI is a combination of our adjusted winning percentage + our opponents winning percentage (minus the game with us) + their opponents winning percentage.
The game with Pitt is starting to pay big benefits due to their winning percentage and the winning percentage of the teams they have played to date - Tex, 'cuse, Cinn, etc.
Likewise the game with Texas Tech has and will continue to benefit our RPI with each (> .500) B12 team they end up playing.

Well, we were in the low 80's (I think) and now at 59. So a 21+ spot jump from one game halfway into the season is significant. You also have to consider how the RPI of other teams in that range did.
I hope Cox 22 shows the game again, I would like to watch it again. That was a lousy inbound pass by the Bears with 2.2 seconds left.
Hopefully, this taught the Shox how to win a tough road game against a quality opponent. I think we have a better chance to beat Northern Iowa than anyone else, at least on our home court.
This team has some grit to them, and Hannah is one really good point guard.
A couple of things from last night's games. The Shox simply cannot take Indiana State lightly when they go there. Those games can so often trip you up if you are not mentally prepared. Indiana State took Bradley to OT last night in Peoria. I know Bradley is not that strong this year, but if Indiana State can take them to OT in their house, I just hope the Shox don't get complacent.
UNI continues to hold serve. They appeared to have no problem with SIU last night. They are impressive and the Shox will have their hands full on the 19th. I believe they will be ready and hand UNI their 1st loss.
MoSt will be a loss. Until the Shocks demonstrate they can beat equal or better teams on the road, I'm not on board with road upsets from this fairly young team. Once they convince themselves they need to play 40 minutes of tough basketball on the road, the Shocks will steal a game like this.
. . .
I am ready to be proven wrong.

The Shocks didn't exactly "play 40 minutes of tough basketball", but the ~30 minutes they did play got them enough to pull this one out. I was on the edge of my chair for the last 10 minutes as MoSt extended their defense and their shooters started to hit some shots. I thought Hatch's intensity made a big difference when he was in the game, and of course Hannah was the glue to hold it all together and made huge plays at critical times in the game.
That's a pretty good team the Shocks dispatched last night.
This was one game in the 5 under consideration I thought the Shocks would lose. They're in the process of proving me wrong - the crow is in the oven.
