I found this and thought that it would be a helpful reference next time we are all discussing during an in-game thread about how bad the referees are.

That is brilliant! Now we have statistical proof of how much Ed Hightower sucks.

        bump

Apropos of nothing, Valley refs David Hall, Terry Wymer, and Steve Olson are all in the top 100 refs in terms of both home foul margin and standard deviation (meaning that the number of fouls called on any given night varies more than other refs) since 1996. Olson is particularly bad, but doesn't work as many games as the other two. Hall will call an average of 8-10 MORE fouls in a game featuring a top 25 team than in games with unranked teams.

It doesn't say whether they're Catholic or not.

I noticed Hall and Olson were doing the Texas v K-State game last night. I decided to turn it off and not watch the game. Opinions of people who watched the game last night seem to be that the reffing was terrible.
