I believe an impressive looking redshirt freshman will be raining 3s on the Valley in the not too distant future.

As HCGM mentioned Monday on the coaches show, he can shoot it as well as Hatch. I like that ability with the added speed and ability to create a shot.

If Kyles can keep from leaving his feet on every fake (the scouting report on him has clearly been well-distributed around the Valley), then he should have at least a decent game. That man needs to be told how much more valuable he is between the ball and the basket rather than the ball being between him and the basket.

4)The fallacy that this is a play-in team that has way over achieved so far and is destined to immediately fall should be long gone. This is a tough, quality, deep and successful team that has not been defeated at home and has played a much tougher schedule than we have faced.

I am not saying we can't win or aren't capable of winning or that even WSU doesn't have the best team....but TO DATE, Missouri State has without question proven more than our guys.

Agree that MSU is much improved over last year and is not over achieving. however MSU has not played a MUCH tougher schedule than us.

MSU out of conference is 233 ours 308.

MSU played 1 top 100 RPI team (76 Tulsa) at home and won. We played 2 top 50 teams (11 Pitt and 31 Tech) and are 1-1. Their second best OOC team played was 111 St Louis.

After that their bottom feeders were just better than our bottom feeders.

Shocks with this game, Missouri State is gripping on the to thin edge of the precipise and is about to get pushed back into the abyss by the mighty WU!

This game marked the low point last year, and I have to believe that we want it back pretty bad.

The key to the game is David Kyles brining his "A" Game mentally, he doesn't need to produce big numbers, just be aggressive defensively, and follow missed shots. The rest will take care of itself.

We may lose this game, but it won't be because we scored 55 at home.

I am sure you are right it is going to be closer to 45-50 for the Bears tonight, 55 was way to generous. (inserts tounge in cheek)

I think it will be a good tough game, with both teams looking to prove some Valley dominance. I can't believe that there are games this early that are so meaningful. Wait till the conf. season starts to pan out, could be a log jam in that 1-3 spot.

We have had easy wins in Springpatch in the past, but that was during the Barry era. For some reason I am still clinging to the confidence obtained during that beautiful span of Missouri State basketball.

Last year was disappointing, but as badly as we were beaten, we were at the lowest point in two years. Anybody could have beaten us that night.

Tonight's game will come down to preparation. Will the coach have the words to say to get these players inspired or not? There is no question we have the tools necessary to bury the Bears.

This is a very good point. Our players have looked flat and less than stellar at Illinois State and even in our two home Valley games.

Hopefully coach is feeling better and gets after them a little more. I wanna see some passion and desire on the court tonight. I wanna see them "want" this game. That would help a lot IMO.
