  • Acting like fanatics is not the politically correct behavior for citizens these days.

That's why I find myself saying "Screw politically correct behavior".

I cheer like a fanatic and I often take verbal jabs and have fun poked at me during the games. However, I just can't help myself and I wish others would join in more often.

Also, I like to drum on the chairbacks of open seats, they make a loud noise but can offend some folks. The only thing I can say to those people is that if the seats were filled I wouldn't be able to drum on them after my voice gives out.

    • I think this team is exactly where it needs to be heading into a pivotal game against rival Missouri State. We've held court at home, won a couple of easy road games, and been tested in losses vs. Pitt and at Illinois St. The Bears are coming off a loss; it will be interesting to see how they respond.

At this point, I'm still optomistic about our chances in Springfield.

Thinking back to yesterday's ballgame, I was more impressed with Bradley's effort, than dissapointed in the Shocks. They gave us all we could handle for the first 20, yet we still led by 1 at the break. For a team that's had their share of set-backs (including the suspension of a quality player), they played hard, and fought through some major adversity to compete at a high level.

The Shocks took advantage inside and displayed the depth of the froncourt. Clearly, that was the difference in the game.

      • The first half was a battle, and it was our outside 3's that allowed us later to get inside. The 3 to put us up at the half, and in the 2nd half, Hannah and Durley's 3's to get us rolling into an 11 point lead in the first 3 minutes of the 2nd half.

I want to give Durley kudos for his effort, especially the 2nd half, and making plays that kept us moving forward.
