can someone please explain to me why some games are blacked out in the state of kansas? i am so pissed.. what the hell is the point of this? and how do they pick which games to show and which ones to black out? then after further review i see where it says ALL home games will be blacked out within a 100 mile radius of wsu. Well thats a lie cuz i watched the ND state game...or maybe its cuz they got my money that nite.

They are blacked out because they are televised. If there is a 100 mile rule to that, not sure how they figure that...a friend of mine was in Ellis, KS and was unable to watch the game, they don't have Cox there and it's 200 miles away. There are other places on the net where you can check for the game...but I'm not allow to mention exactly where.

They would be better off licensing the rights to someone else and getting a cut. There is definitely some demand, but I don't know how much.
They didn't seem to mind have the Shocker Sports Channel back in the day, but that was a different time."When life hands you lemons, make lemonade." Better have some sugar and water too, or else your lemonade will suck!

Being well outside of Kansas, I'm in the minority appreciating SV, as it provides an opportunity to watch the game.
Sure, it has it's drawbacks.
Missing what sees like half the game due to replays of every made basket is frustrating, to say the least.
Since it's a feed from the scoreboard, it gets old watching "GO Shocks" flash on the screen for what seems like an eternity.
On the good side, they do feed in Mike and Dave to provide audio.
Hey, anything is better than just listening to the internet feed. 8)Above all, make the right call.

I thought the 100-mile blackout was dropped this year. That's the last I heard. That would be robbery to change that position in mid-season after getting a swipe at customers within the 100-mile radius who paid for it.
I'm not certain, but in the past I believe all home games that were televised were not shown on SV. Doesn't really make sense because not everyone gets CoxSuxCox.Deuces Valley.
... No really, deuces.

I live in Oklahoma City and was not able to see the Texas Tech game because of blackout. Shockervision clearly says that it will be unavailable unless you live outside of Kansas.... Last time I checked Oklahoma City is not in Kansas.
I sent an email to the technical assistance email and still not heard back from them.
If today's game is blacked out for me again I will not be very happy.
