  • Coach's Show?

Mike Kennedy said that the coach's show was moved to tonight from it's usual Monday night, but I didn't get to catch it. The podcast from Shocker Radio is the Women's coach's show.

Did anyone catch the show tonight? I'm wondering what was said after what happened in Illinois...

I tuned in at 6:30 for the show and soon realized it was a rebroadcast of the show which aired a couple of weeks ago before the UNKC game. I didn't watch more tha the first 5 minutes.

no, it was the right show...i listened for the first segment. Marshall said that they had madatory skill sessions today for the freshman. said it was optional for the others...and hatch was the only one that showed up. Also mentioned toure came, but worked on his own. Said that after skill sessions, they did weight lifting session, watched film, and practiced for 1hour and 50 minutes today. about the illinois state game, he mentioned that everyone was disappointed---yet went into the game knowing they could win. he said that they would have had to play extremely well to get the win and they didnt do that. Also said that they were more physical than Pitt and Tech..thought they played an outstanding game and gave them a lot of credit. he said if we were in illinois st. 's position with them being #34 in the polls coming into Koch arena...he figures we would have won just as they did last night. He said he also had to continue to be positive with his guys..because they are the same guys that have to turn around and play Drake in a couple of days. he said that his take is to absolutely protect homecourt in the valley...and steal a few on the road. He mentioned that not a lof of teams are going to win at Illinois St. He said if we lose this weekend...then it will be time to be concerned.

I also want the podcast....as I missed the next segments of the show....if you come up with it...let us know. :)

I think Shockall was watching the Shocker Sports Report, which WAS a rerun (saw that too). However, thanks melcong--I wish I had thought of it and tuned in at the time.

I'm not surprised that Hatch was there as Marshall has referred to him as the hardest working player on the team. A bit surprised that some of the other non-freshmen weren't there after the team got it's butt spanked at Ill. St., at least Murry was there working of his game.
