He is a really good player. To become a great player he has got to improve his shot selection, shooting percentage and road toughness.....He's a soph, so he has time.

Thats what i think we all forget. already started every game he has played here and in my opinion obviously our best player. we expect so much from him and hes only a sophomore less than 50 games into his career.

Of course he's gonna turn it around Friday night. The game will be at home.

Get back to me after the MSU game.
I totally agree.Toughness in a hostile environment is what define the truely great ones.

To this point in his career, Murry has two justified criticism's: Shooting percentage/shot selection, and play on the road. I think all of us can agree, however, that he is a hell of a player and we are much better for having him here.

I know what I mean, but don't know the words to properly describe it.

It's possible that the athletic and physical part of Murry's game is ahead of his maturity as a player or maybe some mental aspects of the game. Maybe a slow start to a game gets in his head and he hasn't learned to block that out and then it spirals down hill. He's what? 19 years old?

It's starting to look like Murry is going to have "superstar" games and "forgot to get off the bus" games. Keeping a level head is an area where a consistent lack of upper classmen hurts younger players. There have only been two active Sr's on the team during Murry's time here - and both of those were two-year Sr's.

As WSU develops more long-term players, I suspect problems like Murry is facing will decrease. That's not going to help Murry - and we (the fans) are just going to have to deal with what we've got - which is a pretty darn good player who sometimes doesnt show up.
The future's so bright - I gotta wear shades.

Right now the only player that consistantly shows up every night at home or on the road is Clevin Hanna.
We need another player or two to do the same. JT, TM, and DK can't seem to find any consistancy offensively from night to night.
My biggest concern is the lack of 2nd half intensity and effort on defense.
If you are not scoring you need to sell out on defense and generate your offense from strong defense.
Clevin and Graham know that and I think Gabe figured it out Tuesday. We need a couple more players to figure it out.
Don't be surprised if we see a repeat of Tuesday @ Springfield. This team is still growing and the Valley road is tough.
But this team could also get hot in the 2nd half and drop the Bears. Buckle your seatbelts...it's going to be a wild ride. :goshocks:
