Generally yes. Roughly, he said it's environments like these that prepare us for Big 12 play.. etc, etc.
Didn't Coach Jans say that one of the Tech staff (maybe one of the trainers?) commented to him that it was the most intense environment he had been in or something along those lines?
I think a fan called in to the Shocker Lockerroom show and said a trainer or manager from Tech told his wife that (the fan's wife). At least, that's what I recall hearing.

Tech fans were sitting about 4 rows behind me Saturday night. They were mannerly and polite but still yelled for their team. I will bet that even as loud as the crowd got Saturday, those Tech fans would say it was loud but not the loudest they have heard. The difference is they were at the top of CKA with all the noise in front of them, not at the bottom where all the crowd noise hits the back of your head and makes you feel like you're in a wind tunnel. On the floor that sound has to drown out everything (even your own thoughts).

My voice and ears still hurt from the FSU game. ;-)

Our fans are the best by far in the MVC if not all of college basketball. Certainly a top 10 fanbase.

When MT said that we were a major program in a mid-major league....IMO he was talking about the fans as much as anything. Being stuck here in Bass Pro Land has made me appreciate the WSU fanbase even more. MSU is pretty good this year but haven't even filled the new Q to 50% capacity. Talk about fairweather.

That I don't agree with...just meant to be something to laugh at...I appreciate everything Turgeon did...without the combo of Beggs, Schaus and Turgeon I probably would have never gone to a single basketball game while I was going to WSU.

                USC

Shox1, USC (presumably one of those schools Turgeon could have scheduled instead of New Mexico) only had 4700 people who even knew they were playing Tennessee -- the other 200 had other things to do.
