I'm with the good Dr on this one. I'll settle for getting some votes for a good while. I want to beat Southern Illinois at their place this year, and beat Creighton like a rented mule twice in the regular season this year.

Murry had an off game; Blair was a non-factor; it didn’t sound like Hatch played particularly well either; the team gave up over 60 points in the second half. If someone proposed this as a hypothetical to me on Friday and asked me to predict a win or loss – my prediction would have required little consideration, Tech wins by at least 10. Period.
I would have been very wrong. Happily wrong.
Yes, there is a lot of room for improvement with this team. I noticed another thread which asks the question: Which team is better 2006 or this team? Well, I happen to believe that the 2006 team as a whole was better than its individual parts. The 2006 squad was true “team” and played a “team” game – in every sense of the word. It had some good players but not exceptional players (anyone who suggests there is a single member of that team who deserves to have their number retired is seriously unhinged) – its success was directly related to how the players fit the system and played within the system (for which I credit Turgeon) – and for that every member of the 2006 team deserves high praise.
I don’t think CGM’s team has reached that level…yet. In fact, if Turgeon’s and CGM’s were to meet today – I might give a slight edge to Turgeon. But if CGM’s squad develops into a team, as Turgeon’s did, CGM’s squad will surpass the 2006 version hands down. As someone else wrote, there is simply more “upside”.
It going to be fun to watch (or at least listen)…...
Oh, and WSU should not be ranked.
