Does anyone know the names, high schools and positions of the local area high school players, who will be guests of WSU for tonight's game?

    Thank you.
    FYI:

Recruits scheduled to attend Saturday’s game included Hutchinson Community College sophomores Robert Goff, a 6-foot-8 forward, and Jawanza Poland, a 6-foot-4 forward. Both are sitting out this season after transferring from Cowley College to Hutch with coach Steve Eck. Poland played at East. High school juniors Avery Dingman, a guard from Branson, Mo., and guard Austin Chatman from The Colony, Texas were also on the guest list.æ.æ.æ.

If I remember correctly, Chatman looked REALLY good at the Elite Camp
Infinity Art Glass - Fantastic local artist and Shocker fan
      RIP Guy Always A Shocker
Carpenter Place - A blessing to many young girls/women
ICT S.O.S - Great local cause fighting against human trafficking
Wartick Insurance Agency - Saved me money with more coverage.

Marty was a maker. Think Matt Clark with really frizzy hair.

Mention of the Poland kid above reminded me of something........

What about 6'-7" Czyz from Duke?

He's reportedly turned in a request for transfer to Coach K.

Okay..........he's probably not interested, but HCGM has had some success in the Carolinas with AE and Gabe........so why not dream a little?

Or.....the guy could go back home to Poland.

WSU has really liked Chatman for sometime. I thought he might be getting an offer. Perhaps he has been and we don't know it. He hasn't had a recruiting story done on him. But my guess is the Shockers probably are just remaining very interested.

His teammate A.J. Price also attended the August camp. A.J. was ranked a little higher than Austin going into this season but from what I can tell Austin is having a good year. WSU was thought to be high on A.J.'s list but he is now looking at other schools. I believe the Shockers have always preferred Chatman who is a true point point guard.

We believe WSU has offered two other point guards in the 2011 class, Evan Wessel and Aaron Cosby.

I think you both have a very good memory. Quite obviously, the young man is VERY interested in Wichita State, and Wichita State in Mr. Chatman.

                    Chatman's video:

Austin Chatman 5'10..Very fast with the ball, gets into the paint with ease, can finish at the rim, shoots it well with 3 point range, tough defender... Play...

Looks like Tyrone has been working with him. :)

                      Wow I'm impressed!

He kind of has that ability like Toure to be deceptive with his speed and accelerate up to a new level. Some of those passes could make Koch Arena explode.

And, it looks like he can shoot and jump!

In 2006 Chatman was 5'2". In 2009 he's 5'10". That a growth of 8 inches in 3 years. So he could be around 6'3" or so by 2011.

Not bad, not bad at all.... However, the cross-over dribble is much MUCH more than a simple quick right to left cross-over. You must first bait your defender with a quick jab step followed by a rubber neck juke. Once you have set him up, you then explode with the right to left lightning cross-over which if done correctly , leaves your defender with a soiled panty and a severely sprained (if not broken) ankle. I should know, I invented the cross-over dribble back in the early 70's.

There is also info on him in the "recruits without public acknowledgement" section of the 2011 recruiting summary. It includes another link which has info on him and you can also try search.
